Liverpool have identified Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah next summer.
Salah was the subject of interest from At-Ittihad last summer, but the Reds were determined to keep him in their squad this term.
However, the situation could change at the end of the season and it appears the Merseyside outfit are prepared for the scenario.
According to Bild, the Reds have already contacted the representatives of Sane over a return to the Premier League next summer.
Aside from Liverpool, Real Madrid are also monitoring the Germany international, who has already netted seven goals this season.
Sane is clearly enjoying his football with the Bundesliga champions, but he is open to pursuing a fresh challenge in his playing career.
Bayern bought him for around £50m from Manchester City and they are likely to demand a similar package to part ways with his services.
Arsenal are also long-term admirers of the attacker, but are currently prioritising a deal for Wolves‘ Pedro Neto.
