Arsenal are in advanced talks with club captain Martin Odegaard over a new long-term contract, according to Daily Mail.
The Norwegian has been a pivotal player for the Gunners in the number 10 role, and he made a stunning 23 goal contributions last term.
The 24-year-old has continued his good form with two goals this campaign, and the Gunners are now determined to extend his stay.
His current deal with the club expires in June 2025, and talks are underway over a new four-year contract with a 12-month option.
Odegaard is currently the 10th highest earner at Arsenal at £120,000-a-week. He could earn more than £200,000 weekly with a renewal.
The Gunners restart their season after the international break on Sunday with a Premier League away trip to face struggling Everton.
Odegaard, who recently scored for Norway, will be aiming to continue his fine form with another goal contribution at Goodison Park.
Arsenal are aiming to beat the Toffees at the stadium for the first time in six visits. They have picked up one point at the ground since 2019.
