Arsenal are ready to make an approach for Brentford striker Ivan Toney when his suspension ends in January.
The England international is regarded as one of the best strikers in the Premier League. Last season, he scored 20 goals from 33 appearances.
It is now reported by The Times that the Bees are bracing for the departure of Toney in January once his ongoing ban for betting breaches concludes.
The west London outfit are likely to demand £80 million for the 27-year-old star, and Arsenal are one of the clubs that could pay the transfer fee.
The Gunners currently have Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah as their striker options, but manager Mikel Arteta may want a strong physical presence.
Toney may not be a tall striker, but he is tremendous with his hold-up play and has the gifted ability of finding the back of the net regularly.
He also possesses a strong leap in the air, and would bring a different dimension to the Gunners attack for the back end of the campaign.
