Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has revealed that Luke Shaw is far off from making his comeback from a muscular injury.
The Englishman suffered the setback during the first month of the campaign and he has been a huge miss for the club in the left-back spot.
It was predicted that he could return in the coming weeks, but Ten Hag has hinted that he won’t be available for the current phase of games.
This clearly suggests that he will be sidelined until after the international break. He could be out of action for another five weeks.
In the absence of Shaw, Sergio Reguilon and Victor Lindelof are likely to fill the void on the left side of the defence for the Red Devils.
Reguilon recently recovered from a hamstring injury of his own and he will aiming to integrate into the manager’s plans in the coming games.
Lindelof has fared well as a makeshift left-back, but Ten Hag would ideally want a specialist in the position over the forthcoming matches.
