Manchester United are planning to swoop for the signature of Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy as soon as the transfer window reopens.
The 27-year-old has been in sensational touch for the Bundesliga outfit this term and he has already scored 18 goals across all competitions.
His form has attracted interest from United and they are prepared to trigger his €17.5 million release clause at the beginning of next year.
Meanwhile, talks are already underway with the player’s representatives and the club are ready to meet the demands for a huge salary hike.
Guirassy currently earns around €40,000-a-week at Stuttgart and he is likely to demand more than €120,000 to sign for the Red Devils.
Aside from United, Borussia Dortmund and Napoli are also keeping tabs on the marksman, who wants to leave Stuttgart in the next window.
He has declined a new long-term contract with the German club. They have been unsuccessful in buying out his clause with an improved deal.
