Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has said that Liverpool are favourites to win the Premier League following the goalless draw versus Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium.
The Cityzens went into the game as strong favourites to pick up three points, but they struggled to test the goalkeeper due to the lack of cutting edge.
The club managed just one shot on target over 90 minutes. As a result, they are now third in the table, three points behind leaders Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp‘s side also have a superior goal difference at the moment and Guardiola says they are favourites to win the league at the moment.
He said: “They are in first position. They are top of the league so that is how it is. There are still nine games to go so we will see what happens.”
Manchester City will be back in Premier League action on Wednesday night. They face another stern test against in-form Aston Villa at home.
