LYNN — The Essex County Youth Action Board (YAB) is a group open to 18-24-year-olds who have either current or past lived experience of youth homelessness. The YAB gives people an opportunity to use their voice to advocate for themselves and the community and to work together to achieve the goal of ending youth homelessness.
The YAB has meetings at least once a month at the Haven Project at 57 Munroe St., at which it discusses various topics that impact youth, offers food and transportation, and ensures that those involved are fairly compensated. Individuals who are interested in getting involved or learning more about the YAB can call or text Alex Hansen at 781-353-9788 or email [email protected]. The YAB can also be followed on Instagram at @yab.essex.county, where monthly flyers, announcements, and more are available.
